Consultations

One of the ways in which you can influence policy and legislation is by making your views known through responding to public consultations.

Public consultation on any issue or legislative proposal will usually last a period of 12 weeks, during which interested individuals or organisations can contact the Government Department or agency responsible for the proposal.

These consultation responses will then be reviewed and considered when the final decision on the issue is being made.
