Jean McIntyre invites Joan Cosgrove (Newtownabbey Senior Citizens' Forum) and Frank Robertson (The Friendship Federation) into the studio to talk about a range of issues focussing on topics that affect our older generation.
Examining the issues affect older people, this week, are Ivan Baxter from East Belfast, Nixon Armstrong from Portadown and Margaret Galloway from Newtownabbey. They give their views on the Pensioners' Manifesto which NI's politicians will be asked to endorse at the next Westminster election, where the Assembly should not make their £400m budget cuts and the creation of a Commissioner for Older People. Presented by Jean McIntyre.
Guests this week are Dorothy Hanna and Francis Hughes. Topics under discussion are the Commissioner for Older People, civil servants getting paid more than their Government Ministers, bankers' bonuses, Afghanistan and double salaries for MLAs.
