The Northern Ireland Pensioners Parliament was launched in 2011 and allows older people from across Northern Ireland to have their say on the issues that matter to them.
Organised by Age Sector Platform, 2013 marks the third year of the Parliament.
The Local Parliaments
These took place between February and April 2013 and have ensured that older people's views from every county in Northern Ireland are represented.
NI Pensioners Parliament
The two-day Northern Ireland Pensioners Parliament will take place on 30-31 May 2013, and will see approximately 180 older people from across the province in attendance. It is expected that the Parliament will also see participation from policy experts, influential people and high level politicians during its packed two-day agenda.
The Survey
In order to identify the priority issues for older people in each county, a survey is being conducted. The results will form the basis of the discussion at each local parliament and will determine what issues were taken to the Northern Ireland Pensioners Parliament in May 2013.
