Seven 'local parliaments' took place during March and April 2011 with hundreds of older people from across Northern Ireland given the opportunity to make their voice heard. Photographs from the 'local parliaments' can be viewed HERE.
The two-day Northern Ireland Pensioners Parliament took place on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 June 2011 in Belfast. Older people from each county attended and twenty four motions were passed (i.e. received more than two thirds support). Photos from the 2-day Parliament can be viewed HERE.
The Northern Ireland Pensioners Parliament Report 2011 was launched on Tuesday 15 November and has been distributed to the Northern Ireland Assembly, MLAs, MPs, councils, statutory bodies, the private sector and other relevant organisations.
